Motherhood

She laughed at his cooing as she tickled his tummy. At his gurgle as she kissed him. Oh that toothless smile! Those tiny fists! She loved him so.

The sleeplessness, though. Feeding, rocking, singing for hours. Night after night after night.

Closing the lid of the dumpster, she yawned.
